cesium acetate

1. n. [Drilling Fluids]

A salt of cesium hydroxide and acetic acid, with formula CH₃COO^–Cs⁺, used to make high-density completion fluids. It has neutral to alkaline pH in water solutions and has better temperature stability compared with that of cesium formate.
