Taylor bubbles

1. n. [Production Logging]

In multiphase flow, large bubbles of the lighter phase that form by coalescence of small bubbles under certain conditions of fluid flow. The large bubbles occur during slug flow and plug flow. The term is named after G.I. Taylor.
